Sebo Walker X Annual kids’ show

THE WHO, WHAT, WHERE, and HOW

What is the Annual kids show?

This show is a most excellent and exciting way we close out the year of art and pure joy — the Third Annual Kids Art Show invites Portland’s young artists to bring their boldest expressions, joined by Sebo Walker (professional painter, skater, and all around champion of kids empowerment), whose playful abstractions make this show a true exchange of inspiration in every direction.

Who is Qualified?

  • Kids ages 0–17 are welcome!

  • All work must be submitted by an adult on behalf of the young artist (see submission form).

  • Participants must be based in Portland, Oregon.

  • Most importantly: kids should feel free to be exactly who they are.

How do you submit?

Intent to Submit is due by October 15.

  • We’ll provide materials to all who enter (or you can use your own 11x14” paper).

  • All mediums are accepted and encouraged. Just be sure the artwork can fit into a standard frame.

  • Parents contribute a $15 fee per entry to cover framing and participation (collected at drop-off).

  • Final Artwork is due by November 15, to be dropped off with Chelsea at The Purple Door Gallery, 3557 SE Division Street, Portland, OR 97202.

  • As the deadline approaches, we’ll send a reminder about turning in the finished piece.

What happens at the end of the show? Sales and Returns?

  • Every artwork will be priced at $50.

  • If a piece sells, the young artist receives 60%

  • If a piece does not sell, the framed artwork will be returned to the family.

Whats fresh for 2025?

As per usual we’ll throw an EPIC opening party with all the fun activation, photobooth, community painting, and fun party favors….BUT this year we’re also creating a special book of art and bios to celebrate every young artist! We will scan all work high-res and compile a beautiful collection of artwork with the artists’ bios alongside their masterpieces. A portion of the book sales will go to a charity, TBD.

I go to school by my house and I can walk there. I have a sister and her name is JoJo. My daddy is named Rob. I 'm almost 5 and my birthday is in December. I made this rainbow and then I made a circle. And then I said, "maybe I can make a person!"

Remy Brinson, 3

My name is Remy. My favorite colors are pink and purple. My favorite desserts are lollipops. my favorite animals are horses. ORANGE! I need some tape to tape all this.
